Microservices - API Management

Microservices and Their Advantages

Microservices are services that are maintainable, testable, loosely coupled to systems, deployed independently, and able to be called by various systems to rapidly execute complex tasks. One of our core capabilities is support for Microservices: users can build workflows that are easily maintained, associate those workflows with simple REST API calls, and then publish those workflows as Microservices that run in real-time in memory.

Microservices – Easy to Build and Maintain

FlowWright’s Microservice are particularly attractive because they are designed graphically – allowing for intuitive programming through workflow design (Node code development), and corresponding ease of maintenance. Because of this, our Microservice’s lend themselves especially to orchestration activities: even complex sequences can run with high performance and coordinate disparate activities across the enterprise. Users appreciate relying on our drag-and-drop process designer instead of depending on building a Microservice using lots of custom code, or modules strung together.

Microservices – Speed and Throughput

Some FlowWright iBPMS users appreciate the Microservices capabilities because of the throughput and real-time responsiveness that Microservices offer. Companies rely on our Microservices for applications such as real-time payor-payee reconciliation in national retail pharmacy chains, in RPA applications, and in document production solutions. Microservices are also know as API management in many other platforms.

Microservices – Testing and Maintenance

Any changes to your Microservices are managed through simple drag-and-drop designer. Once the Microservice is defined and compiled, it can be tested within the FlowWright iBPMS user interface - or you can use your favorite REST API call tester such as POSTMAN to test the calls.
