With the growing number of mobile applications launched every day an increasing number of these Enterprise mobile workflow applications need server side processing to manage the application processes.  cDevWorkflow is starting to play a major role in these applications by providing the automation and execution of these processes on server side.

Mobile workflow, is no longer the future, it is the present.  Recently we had a client who integrated cDevWorkflow into their web based mobile workflow application for managing golf club tee time bookings.  Users are able to request tee time bookings at private clubs, then pay for them and go play golf at some exclusive private clubs all over the United States.  Each time a play request is created, it follows the below described process:

Users and customer service alike are able to interact with the play requests at many levels based on what function the process is performing.  According to the above process diagram, when a new play request is created, it is routed to the club for approval.  The club processes the request by selecting to approve, deny, or to recommend an alternate play time.  Once the request is approved, the user processes payment information to complete the transaction.

The entire mobile workflow process is built upon the cDevWorkflow engine.  While the structure is straight forward, the application is processing 300-500 requests every hour. With cDevWorkflow integrated and executing this process, cDevWorkflow’s high performance engine is able to execute and manage these processes.

User feedback was positive on many aspects of the application including one unexpected and often overlooked database feature.  Users enjoyed the ability to recall transaction workflow history and have it displayed graphically on their mobile devices.  cDevWorkflow lets you render the process instance easily and can easily view the choices that were made within the process to produce the final outcome of the play request.

As the Enterprise mobile workflow market seeks alternatives to the existing BPM tools, we are seeing more and more clients requesting demonstrations and proposals for our cDevWorkflow to drive their processes.
